Job summary

PPC Flex is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably in our Kansas City facility.

You’ll perform PMs and repairs, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and use CMMS to track work orders, materials, and time while maintaining GMP and safety standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are willing to travel occasionally, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use measuring tools.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Strong communication skills and team mindset.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to help keep our production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring we deliver high-quality flexible packaging products on time while maintaining our commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs on production equipment


• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues with urgency and accuracy


• Ensure all repairs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards


• Utilize CMMS (maintenance software) to track work orders, time, and materials


• Maintain and inspect tools and equipment at the start and end of each shift


• Communicate effectively with team members across shifts to ensure continuity


• Support food safety, GMP, and quality programs


• Keep equipment clean and in optimal working condition


• Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives


• Assist in other departments or tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, tape measures, etc.)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs


• Stand for extended periods during shifts


• Work overtime as needed and respond to off-hour call-ins for critical breakdowns


• Work in a fast-paced production environment


• Provide your own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided)


• Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight if needed

Week 1 = Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat

Week 2 = Sun, Wed, Thur

Week 1 = 49 hours

Week 2 = 36.75 hours
