Job summary

HILLS Properties is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join Emerald Lakes, our luxury apartment community in Greenwood, Indiana. You will maintain all areas of the property and handle resident service requests, with on-call hours in the evenings and on weekends.

A hands-on role involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs, with a focus on safety and quality. We offer training, a supportive team, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Thorough working knowledge of building maintenance and safety.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Knowledge and skill in safe use of hand tools and cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain outdoor grounds areas, including pool area.
• Make-ready vacated units, assist with painting, drywall and carpet cleaning.
• Perform work orders and repairs (HVAC, electrical, small appliances, plumbing).
• Inspect/log building lights, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems and furnace filters; replace as needed.
• Collaborate professionally with teammates, residents, vendors and future residents.

HILLS Properties has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the team at one of our luxury apartment communities, Emerald Lakes, in Greenwood, Indiana!

This is a regular, full-time position with some evening and weekend on call hours required.

As a maintenance technician, we will keep you busy! You play a key role in upholding our high standards and reputation by maintaining all areas of the property and performing service requests for residents. A typical day could include HVAC, electrical, small appliances, and plumbing repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.

Requirements
