Qualifications

  • Three years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
  • HVAC certification Type 1 & 2 or Universal.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
  • Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
  • Proficient with computers and online applications.
  • Working knowledge of property systems (Yardi/Entrata/HappyCo).
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all service requests as assigned.
  • Finish all make-ready units efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory and care of tools and equipment.
  • Supply personal tools required for tasks.
  • Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain positive communications with residents, vendors, and teammates.
  • Follow safety policies and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Fogelman is hiring a certified Maintenance Technician for St. Andrews Apartments located in the Johns Creek area. Our Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in keeping our communities running smoothly, and we’re looking for someone who wants to bring their skills to a supportive team that truly values their work. SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor while providing excellent customer service to our residents.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for completing all service requests as assigned.

  • Responsible for the completion of all make-ready units.

  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.

  • Responsible for supplying all personal tools.

  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.

  • Assists in preventive maintenance projects.

  • Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.

  • Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed.

  • Responsible for positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.

  • Be aware of and operate within company safety policies at all times.

  • Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing.

  • Other job duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


  • Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.

  • HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.

  • Proficient in the following areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.

  • Proficient in use of computers and online applications.

  • Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.

  • Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
