Monument Real Estate Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to care for our multifamily communities. The role emphasizes safety, quality upkeep, and resident service across interiors, exteriors, common areas, and amenities.

Strong technical aptitude and problem solving are essential. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders within 24 hours, and collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep properties in excellent condition.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in multi-family.
• HVAC Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general construction.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and on-call.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the preparation of market-ready units and monitor move-ins.
• Respond to routine work orders within 24 hours.
• Maintain pool, amenity areas, spas and fountains.
• Clean and repair common areas.
• Monitor security and ensure doors are locked.
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor about property improvements.
• Complete work orders for appliances, HVAC, painting and plumbing.
• Work weekends and on-call as needed.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Maintenance Technician

Job description:

A maintenance technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of our multifamily apartment communities including the interior units, exterior entrances, common areas, grounds, and amenity areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance technician duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of market-ready units and monitor the condition of move-ins for the week. Check units just prior to move-ins for final condition.
• Routine work orders must be responded to within twenty-four (24) hours and completed within the same time frame, when possible.
• Maintenance of swimming pool, amenity areas, spas, and fountains.
• Maintenance, daily cleaning, and repair of common areas (including sweeping, washing, and general cleaning).
• Monitor security - all vacant units, outside doors of the clubhouse, and other maintenance and/or common facilities and amenities. Ensure doors are locked. General property safety and security and accident prevention, including key control.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with residents.
• Communicate regularly with the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager regarding issues and recommendations for property improvements.
• Complete work orders including items such as appliance repairs, heating, and cooling systems, painting, light plumbing work, and light fixture replacement.
• Must have the ability to work weekends when necessary and be on-call as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

A Maintenance technician shall have the following skills, education, and experience:

• High school education or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in multi-family.
• HVAC Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, appliance repair, pools and spas, carpentry, and general construction.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance; maintain a professional attitude and work habits in dealing with the staff, vendors, and the public.
• CPO Certification-preferred.
• Physical demands include, but are not limited to lifting, carrying climbing, stepping, kneeling, working outdoors, overtime and weekend on call rotation.
