Job summary

Autoneum is seeking a skilled plant maintenance technician to repair and maintain machinery throughout the plant. Responsibilities include completing work and preventive maintenance orders, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in an industrial setting, familiarity with PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens), and CMMS experience. Proficiency reading schematics and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial environment.
• 2 year degree in Industrial Technology preferred.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs, SLCs, Panelview, and Fanuc Robotics a plus.
• CMMS experience a plus.
• Kaizen and continuous improvement experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the plant.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance orders.
• Troubleshoot problems and determine proper resolution with minimal disruption.
• Assist in maintaining a safe workplace.
• Read electrical schematics, hydraulic, and piping diagrams.
• Machine rebuilding, tool setting, welding, cutting and fitting.
• Operate shop equipment (sanders, drill press, mills, lathe, etc.).
• Communicate with all levels to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
• Ensure PM activities are completed as scheduled.

Summary

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all machinery within the plant and the completion of work orders and preventative maintenance orders as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of all machinery and equipment in plant
• Completion of work orders and preventative maintenance orders
• Troubleshooting problems and determining proper resolution with minimum process interruption
• Assist in providing and maintaining a safe workplace
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
• Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance
• Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic, and piping diagrams
• Machine rebuilding, tool setting, welding, cutting and fitting experience
• Ability to use shop equipment: such as sanders, drill press, mills, lathe, surface grinder, crane, forklift, etc.
• Ability to research parts, drawings, diagrams and schematics
• Able to perform all duties assigned with little or no supervision
• Ensures PM activities are completed as scheduled
• Works to develop and implement methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all related IATF-16949, ISO 45001 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures
• Ability to work safely by following policies and procedures in a fast paced industrial environment

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 5 yrs experience working in an industrial environment
• 2 year degree Industrial Technology preferred
• Experience working with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC’s, SLC’s, Panelview, Allen Bradley frequency drives, Fanuc Robotics and hydraulic and pneumatic systems a plus
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus
• Experience with Kaizen and other continuous improvement processes is a plus

Language Ability

• Ability to write reports and correspondence and to effectively present information is required

Math Ability

• Basic math skills are required

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve complex problems in situations where only limited standardization exists is required

Computer Skills

• Limited Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Internet, and E-mail is required

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and outside risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment is moderate.
