Job summary

Associa is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician at one of our managed properties in Jacksonville, FL (32256). The part-time position focuses on keeping residential buildings safe and well-maintained through carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–12:00 pm (about 20 hours per week). A valid driver’s license, reliable tools, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds are required; background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and clients.
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements and safety.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently.
• Carry out carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
• Clean and repair fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on building systems and equipment.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and dependable professional to join our team at one of our managed properties in Jacksonville, FL (32256) as a Maintenance Technician. Join Associa as a Part-time Maintenance Technician and contribute to the upkeep and functionality of our managed properties. We are seeking a reliable individual with a passion for ensuring a safe and well-maintained living environment for our residents.

Compensation/Pay:

This is an hourly position with pay in the area of $20.00 per hour.

Work schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (about 20 hours per week)

• Perform routine preventive maintenance toensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic electrical andplumbingcodes and maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic irrigation and janitorial duties
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
• May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.)
• Ability to safely operate, climb and perform work on ladders (1-2 stories) - 24-28ft.
• Ability to operate smartphone & email (day-to-day operations, basic communication/monthly expense reports)
• Must be able to operate a vehicle from one location to another
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
• 2+ years of directly related or closely related experience
