Brakebush Brothers in Irving, TX is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift. The role focuses on safe operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of equipment and conveyors. A high school diploma and one year of experience are required.

You're expected to stand most of the shift, lift up to 70 lbs, and work overtime/weekends as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to ensure production safety and quality standards.

Position: Maintenance Mechanic I(D)

Compensation: Hourly Non-exempt

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Qualifications: Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.

Job Summary: Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Correct & safe operation of equipment & machinery, troubleshooting, engine maintenance, conveyors & sytems.

Essential Functions:

• Must obey all safety, USDA, HACCP, and the Company rules and regulations.
• Must know shop mathematics, able to interpret drawings, and be able to use tools required.
• Must have basic knowledge/experience in the following areas including use of related tools and equipment:
• Basic Electrical Wiring & Troubleshooting, ability to read schematics
• Show knowledge in Pipe Fitting/Plumbing
• Welding – or the ability to learn
• Hydraulics- basic circuits
• Pneumatics- air flow and components
• Automatic Equipment Operation (setup, repair, and tear down)
• Knowledge of PLC and how they operate
• The ability to show proficiency in the above skills in addition to other skills but not limited to only the above
• Ability to lift 50lbs to 70lbs continuously/daily if needed
• Must have good communication skills (both written and oral).
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
• Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following: Production Safety Employee Relations
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client. Also perform other related duties as required by management.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education : High school diploma or equivalent

Experience : 1 year minimum work experience

Other Requirements : No other requirements.

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
