Job summary

UFC GYM is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all fitness equipment and facility systems are safe and functional for members. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and oversee operational standards across the club.

The role requires gym maintenance experience, HVAC/electrical knowledge, and the ability to lift heavy parts while standing for extended periods. A proactive approach and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspections of facility to identify safety concerns.
• Maintain a detailed preventative maintenance log.
• Perform monthly OSHA safety checks and ensure equipment meets guidelines.
• Execute facility improvements and special projects as directed.
• Identify and procure repair parts and manage supplies.
• Coordinate with vendors and leadership on repairs.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Facility Upkeep

• Daily Inspections: Conduct a daily safety walk-through of the facility to identify and immediately address any potential safety concerns.


• Preventative Maintenance: Maintain a detailed log of all preventative maintenance and keep a historical file on all club equipment.


• Technical Repairs: Perform monthly OSHA safety checks and ensure all equipment adheres to OSHA and PM guidelines.


• Special Projects: Execute facility improvements and special projects as directed by the General Manager or Operations Manager.

Operations & Procurement

• Sourcing: Identify and procure necessary repair parts, tools, materials, and equipment required to keep the facility in peak condition.


• Vendor Coordination: Manage the intake of supplies and ensure all maintenance materials are stored safely and organized.


• Reporting: Update leadership regularly on the status of equipment repairs and any pending facility needs.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in operations or maintenance at a gym or health club setting is required.

  • General knowledge of HVAC and electrical equipment is essential.
  
  
  • Use the internet to order part and research repair solutions, communicate with vendors and leadership by email or MS Teams.
  
  
  
  

Problem Solving: Ability to work independently and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.


• Physical: Ability to lift heavy repair parts, stand for long periods, and navigate all areas of the facility (including mechanical rooms).
