Courtyard by Marriott Portland Hillsboro is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for guests and team members.

Responsibilities include responding to guest room and work order requests, performing preventive maintenance, maintaining pool, hot tub, and fitness areas, plus minor carpentry and repairs. A 1+ year maintenance background and reliable, guest-friendly conduct are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience (hotel, apartment, or facilities experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently
• Friendly, professional attitude when working around guests
• Reliable and punctual, with availability for an 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for long periods

Responsabilités

• Respond quickly to guest room and work order requests, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
• Perform preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and building systems
• Maintain the indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center, including water testing and chemical balancing
• Do minor carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and caulking
• Repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, doors, locks, and windows
• Monitor boilers, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment, and report problems promptly
• Keep logs for work orders, preventive maintenance, and safety checks
• Follow safety procedures and keep the shop and work areas clean and organized
• Coordinate with housekeeping and the front desk to minimize guest disruption
• Help with other tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer or General Manager

Type: Full-time, hourly
Pay: $22 per hour
Schedule: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

About Us

Courtyard by Marriott Portland Hillsboro is a three-story hotel in the Tanasbourne area with an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, restaurant, and meeting space. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our property safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for guests and team members.

What You’ll Do
