Job summary

Trinity Health Highland Haven/Meadowview Independent Living Senior Communities in Highland, MI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician experienced in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and general maintenance to join our team on day shift.

This full-time, on-site role requires performing routine repairs, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining facility safety and documentation. On-call coverage 24/7 as stated, with a Monday–Friday 7:30–4 pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent technical certification in maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and some general grounds maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential problems.
• Ensure compliance and safety and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
• Work with external vendors on getting appropriate bids for larger scale projects.
• Assist with ordering general supplies needed for the maintenance department.
