Job summary

Trinity Health Highland Haven/Meadowview Independent Living Senior Communities in Highland, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 247 on-call role. Day shift Monday–Friday 7:30–4, handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance to keep facilities safe and well-maintained.

The position requires independent work, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and a valid driver's license. Competitive pay and benefits are offered with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and some general grounds maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential problems.
• Ensure compliance and safety and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
• Work with external vendors on getting appropriate bids for larger scale projects.
• Assist with ordering general supplies needed for the maintenance department.
