Job summary

Häfele America Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems in our distribution/warehouse environment.

The role involves interpreting schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable operations. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to become forklift certified.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, relays, sensors, and conveyors.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Inspect equipment and identify opportunities for improvements and upgrades.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
• Support facility maintenance activities, including lighting and electrical distribution.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Ensure OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to operate forklifts, and other facility equipment safely.
• Ability to work in warehouse, distribution center, and production environments.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a distribution center and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and industrial machinery. Compliance with all safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE is required.
