Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the United States to diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, install new equipment, and implement preventative maintenance across assigned machinery. The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, tool proficiency, and ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of PVC plumbing or mechanical repair experience, with travel for field work possible.

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to Environmental Health and Safety Policies, and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Maintain a tidy work environment by housekeeping in maintenance and tool storage areas and cleaning the area after each job.
• Perform start-up of new plant equipment.
• Install new equipment and rearrange existing equipment as required.
• Install Schedule 80 PVC piping, including cutting, fitting, and gluing.
• Respond to plant emergency repairs as needed.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems and preventative maintenance program on all assigned machinery as directed by supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Attention to detail

Preferred

• Electrical panel board experience
• Motor Controls experience
• Positive displacements pump repair experience
• Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired

Education & Experience Required

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma
• Minimum of 3 years experience of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience

Preferred

• At least 5 years of maintenance work experience

Working Conditions

• Travel for field repair and install if needed
• Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
• Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
