Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our distribution center facilities and equipment in safe working order. You will perform technical maintenance, handle equipment moves, and assist with new installations while growing through developmental training.

We value self-motivation, safety, and strong time management. The role requires the ability to work in indoor/outdoor conditions with overtime as needed, and completing required certifications such as PIT and Yard

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical trades or industrial maintenance is a plus.

• Self-motivated, responsible and safety-focused with time management skills.
• Must be able to obtain PIT and Yard Truck certifications and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

SCHEDULE:

Friday-Sunday 6:00pm-6:00am

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Maintenance Technician, you're the "go-to" when it comes to keeping our facilities and equipment in safe working order. You will perform a variety of technical maintenance and service functions on equipment, systems and facilities in our distribution center. In this role, you will also spearhead equipment moves and new equipment installations. AEO offers multiple levels of opportunity for Maintenance Technicians based on skill and experience. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical trade experience, a plus
• Basic knowledge with industrial (distribution) maintenance; corrective/breakdown experience
• Ability to follow instructions
• Must follow set safety procedures and guidelines
• Self-motivated, responsible, safety-oriented individual with time management skills.
• Must earn and maintain Powered Industrial Truck operator certification as well as Yard Truck certification
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including in inclement weather
• Have knowledge, understand, and keep certification on First Aid/CPR and AED
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, powered hand tools, and electrical test and measurement equipment
• Ability to understand and follow established SOPs
• Fabrication/welding experience, a plus
• Flexibility to work all days and shifts, including overtime on request
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus
• Basic knowledge of Google Suite, a plus
