Large Food Manufacturing plant is looking for a strong and stable maintenance technician in Hartwell GA

Responsibilities

• Wiring motors, working up to 480v, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machines; troubleshoot malfunctions; follow diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions
• Maintain general maintenance of the building and facilities
• Locate sources of problems by observing equipment in operation; use measuring and testing instruments
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories; place and expedite orders; verify receipt
• Keep shop, engine rooms, and work areas clean, safe, and orderly
• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Assist in updating the PSM & PM Programs
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions and continuing needs
• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear PPE; adhere to attendance guidelines
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
• Daily rounds; report hazards to management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and Vocational Technical school
• 1-3 years of experience and/or equivalent experience and education
• Experience in welding, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia refrigeration and some building maintenance
• Experience in the meat processing industry is desired but not required

Schedule: 5am-5pm on a 223 schedule
