As a team member in our Maintenance Department we offer a competitive wage range of $15.50 to $16.50 based upon experience and in addition to your hourly rate we offer:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair work independently as instructed or assist other skilled trade personnel to maintain buildings and facilities.
- Perform a variety of building maintenance duties including repairing carpeting, plaster, and drywall, repairing, or replacing air vents, screens, replacing ceramic, ceiling and floor tile and performing minor or emergency roof repairs: remove or board broken windows.
- Preventative maintenance; inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Repair, assemble, install, and assist in the construction of doors, partitions, furniture, counters, bulletin boards, chalk boards, shelving, and other items; set up for special events; move furniture.
- Perform cement work such as mixing, pouring, and patching.
- Prepare surfaces for painting; apply finishes and coverings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and cutters as necessary.
- Preform routine maintenance and repairs on doorknobs, locks, hinges, closures, strike plates and panic bars.
- Operate a variety of equipment and machines including saws, drill presses and various hand and power tools to preform repair and maintenance work; maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and proper working condition.
- Operate light trucks/lifts to pick up and deliver equipment and supplies.
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis
- Maintain various records related to materials and work orders.
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed
- Support and enforce all HPS policies, safety regulations and guidelines, etc.
- Perform related duties as required
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within and around all properties using hand-operated tools or small power equipment

- Ability to move and work throughout the property for the duration of shift.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods of time, with the ability to extend arms, often times overhead.
- Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 75 lbs., waist high.
Required Experience:
1 year experience in building maintenance field
The individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Requires clear, concise verbal communication using two-way radios.
