• Knowledge of OSHA, FCC, NEC regulations essential.

We need a Maintenance Technician! Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of broadcast systems, equipment, facilities, and software applications. Job Type: Full-time

Rate: $25-$30/hour

Location: Westminster, MD

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Support and maintain the BB/CATV plant
• Troubleshoot system outages and customer issues
• Support service technicians
• Maintain company vehicle and supplies
• Maintain and troubleshoot power supplies
• Represent the company professionally
• Follow safety rules and policies
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair FTTH equipment at customer locations
• Verify broadband service functionality
• Locate and repair issues within the broadband system
• Maintain FTTH infrastructure and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service and education
• Conduct quality checks on the FTTH network
• Monitor network performance
• Keep accurate service records
• Update customer information
• Adhere to safety protocols
• Stay updated with FTTH technology and training
• Troubleshoot FTTH services and equipment

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge of RF, IP, HFC design, and optical test equipment
• Knowledge of Video Networking, IP, DOCSIS (experience preferred)
• Ability to work with cables and small components
• Support network configurations including Wi-Fi and TCP/IP
• Valid driver’s license and clean record
• 5+ years broadband/CATV experience
• Experience with electronics, RF, fiber optics
• Strong communication and independent work skills
• Knowledge of OSHA, FCC, NEC regulations
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Participation in on-call schedule
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with fiber splicing and repair
