Job summary

Refresco is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (2:45pm - 11:15pm) and 3rd shift (10:45pm - 7:15am) at our Greer, SC facility. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot systems, read blueprints, and follow GMP and food safety standards to keep downtime minimal and product quality high.

Qualifications

• Must understand GMPs and food safety requirements.
• Able to read and interpret machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
• Work without supervision and maintain quality standards.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health, safety, GMPs and PPE requirements in warehouse/production areas.
• Perform repairing and preventive maintenance including line changeovers.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain production support equipment like glycol, RO, and lubrication systems.
• Record work orders and parts used; communicate across shifts.
• Train other maintenance personnel and collaborate with production to resolve issues.

Shift and Sign-On Bonus Details

2nd Shift (2:45pm - 11:15pm) and 3rd Shift (10:45pm - 7:15am) Openings.

$2500 Sign-On Bonus (3rd Party Recruited Candidates Not Eligible).

Essential Job Functions

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
• Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
• Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
• Ability to perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).
• Able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment (i.e. glycol system, RO system, Compressed Air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).
• Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment in order to minimize production downtime, assure food safety, product quality and personnel safety.
• Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders to include recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.
• Communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production related information from shift to relieving shift.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
• Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.
