Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of production equipment, tools, and machinery in a manufacturing setting. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves hands-on work on plant systems to keep lines running efficiently.

You will apply hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical skills to test, adjust, and repair equipment, troubleshoot PLCs, and ensure safe, reliable operation in Greensboro, NC.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss repairs with head mechanic for approval.
• Install equipment and electrical components and test for proper functioning.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists and tools.
• Lubricate and clean parts to ensure proper operation.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
• Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing manufacturing maintenance
• Previous experience in plant machine maintenance; hydraulics, electrical, ability to trouble shoot PLC's, welding (preferred but can work around)
