Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Greenfield, Missouri location. The role requires safety-conscious candidates who can perform required functions under tight schedules, keeping production on track.

You will service bag line equipment, forklifts, air compressors, and related systems, with responsibility for pre-shift checks, parts requests, and hands-on maintenance to support daily operations. Strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to work safely and stay alert.

Responsibilities

• Maintains bag line equipment, augers, mixers, and related conveyance equipment.
• Serves front-end loaders, forklifts, air compressors and pneumatic valves.
• Performs pre-shift inspections on machines and maintains dust collection filters.
• Issues written purchase requests for parts and maintenance supplies.
• Performs electrical, plumbing, lubrication and general maintenance tasks as needed.

Pennington Seed is searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Greenfield, Missouri location. This position requires qualified candidates to be safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner, working with tight schedules and deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains the following equipment: All bag line equipment , augers, legs, mixers, s eed and grain cleaning and conveying equipment.
• All pesticide impregnating equipment/ pumps.
• Services of front - end loader s , forklifts, air compressors and pneumatic valves .
• Pre-shift inspections on all machines.
• Maint ain the Filters on Dust Collection System .
• Issues written purchase requests for all the parts and maintenance supplies.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, lube and construction activities as needed throughout the facility.
• Understanding of the department budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or GED.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to work indoor s and outdoor s.
• Must be able to consistently be able to sit, stand and walk throughout the shift depending on the activity which is being performed.
• The p resence of airborne dust may require the use of a dust mask respirator depending on the type of product being transported . A dust mask might be required following a fit test.
• Must wear all personal protective equipment to safely perform maintenance duties.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
