Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure continuous plant operation by repairing rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, and conveyors. The role includes performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and completing fabrication or welding tasks as needed.

You will work with CMMS to track work orders, materials, and labor, and maintain a safe workspace. Prior CMMS experience and 3+ years industrial maintenance are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED minimum.
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance experience minimum.
  • Experience using CMMS.
  • Facility maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs to rotating equipment to keep plant operation.
  • Complete preventative maintenance to optimize equipment performance.
  • Adhere to daily scheduled corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient workspace for all employees.
  • Diagnose equipment in upset conditions.
  • Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, and equipment installation as needed.
  • Utilize CMMS for work orders, materials, and labor tracking.
  • Communicate hazardous situations to management promptly.

Job description

  • Adheres to all applicable safety standards/procedures and promotes a safe working environment by training compliance, and by addressing and communicating any identified safety concerns.
  • Follow the maintenance procedures outlined in WMS (Workflow Management System), to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Self-motivated to perform duties in such a way as to succeed in obtaining established maintenance KPI targets.
  • Ability to learn manufacturing processes and help optimize and maintain industry specific equipment.
Tactical Functions:
  • Ensuring plant operation by performing various types of repairs to rotating equipment including, but not limited to pumps, motors, gear reducers, agitators, conveyor systems, etc.
  • Ensuring and extending optimal performance of equipment by completing preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring maintenance efficiencies and plant performance by adhering to daily scheduled corrective and preventative maintenance activities
  • Ensuring a safe and efficient workspace for all employees by completing facility improvement/repairs as needed.
  • Ability to diagnosis equipment in upset conditions.
  • Ability to perform various roles including fabrication, welding, cutting, and equipment installation.
  • Ability to correctly utilize CMMS including work order completion status, material consumption, labor hours, etc.
  • Communicate any situation that creates a hazardous working environment to the management team.
