Daniels Health in Gastonia, NC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support electro-mechanical equipment, including robotic washlines, autoclaves, boilers, and facility systems critical to medical waste processing.

You will perform daily maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate downtime with Plant Managers, while providing remote support to keep production on track. Travel to regional sites is required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical experience with assemblies and production equipment.
• Welding skills for basic repair work.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
• Ability to diagnose PLC-controlled machine issues.

• Willingness to travel and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of production equipment.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support equipment at our Daniels Health site in Gastonia, NC. This role involves servicing and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment, including robotic washlines, autoclaves, boilers, and other facility systems critical to medical waste processing operations. Travel and occasional short-notice support for emergency maintenance at regional sites are required.

We're on a mission to make healthcare safer. Daniels Health provides reusable medical waste containers designed to reduce needlestick injuries and support sustainability. After use, we professionally clean and sanitize each container for reuse, while responsibly disposing of medical waste at our treatment facilities. Our closed-loop system ensures safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility for our customers.

6K Sign on Bonus: To be paid out 2K after 30 days of employment, 2K after 90 days of employment, and 2K after 6 months of employment.

What You'll Do:

Nice-To-Have Qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical waste processing or similar regulated environments
• Experience with autoclaves
• Knowledge of inventory management systems such as MaintainX
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

$28.19 - $32.33 an hour

The pay range for this position is $28.19 to $32.33 per hour. Actual compensation within this range will depend on factors unique to each candidate, such as prior experience, skill, certifications, and work location. Pay variations by location reflect local conditions and differences in the cost of labor.
