Job summary

Daisy Brand is seeking Maintenance Technicians to safely operate and maintain plant equipment across production, packaging, warehouse, and utilities. The role emphasizes electrical, mechanical, and controls proficiency, with opportunities for growth in a state-of-the-art facility.

Ideal candidates have strong experience in food/dairy environments, familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, and the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; additional technical certifications preferred.
• Electrical: understanding of schematics and documentation, 480V 3 phase troubleshooting, low voltage controls, VFDs and servos.
• Mechanical: welding (MIG/TIG/Arc), pumps, valves, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mill and lathe.
• Controls: Allen Bradley PLCs (SLC 500, PLC 5, Logix 5000) troubleshooting.
• Manufacturing: conveyors, palletizers, case packers, boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration, waste water systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems for a 24/7 production operation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated equipment including fillers, case packers, and palletizers; support process systems and building utilities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to solve problems.
• Follow Daisy Brand food safety and GMP protocols, safe work practices, and building maintenance as needed.

Position Summary

We are looking for motivated individuals who are detail-oriented and exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow. While managing a 24/7 production operation, the Daisy Brand Maintenance Team strives to provide a work-life balance with an average of 45 hours/week. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for efficient and safe operation of all areas of the plant. This includes processing, packaging, warehouse, and the utilities that support all areas of the plant. Technicians will frequently collaborate and solve problems with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations.

The ideal candidate will be well rounded in electrical, mechanical, and controls. The Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining highly technical and automated equipment to include fillers, case packers, and palletizers, also to include process systems, ammonia refrigeration equipment, high-pressure boilers, air compressors, and other building utilities.

Other Duties

• Follow Daisy Brand food safety and quality protocols.
• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned, including general building maintenance.

Qualifications And Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required. Additional technical certifications are preferred.

• Experience in food/dairy production environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and twist throughout shift.
• Must be able to multitask while working with a team.

Schedule

2nd shift and 3rd shift available.

Compensation

• Experienced Maintenance Technician pay rate starting at $35/hour.
• 10% premium pay for off-hours work.
• 15% premium pay for weekend work.
