Job summary

Align Communities is seeking a skilled Multi-Family Maintenance Technician to travel to several properties in the Gainesville area. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to emergencies, and ensure resident satisfaction through proactive service and clear communication.

Candidates should have a solid background in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, with a high school diploma and preferred HVAC/CPO certifications.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a multi-family residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
  • Conduct regular inspections and address maintenance issues proactively.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain exterior grounds and common areas; monitor sidewalks, parking, and amenities.
  • Communicate with residents to understand and address maintenance requests.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with property management and coordinate with external contractors when needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulatory guidelines during all tasks.

Align Communities, an entrepreneurial and fast-growing multifamily resident services business based in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Multi-Family Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property maintenance, with a focus on multi-family residential properties. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and functionality of the properties, addressing maintenance issues promptly, and contributing to the overall satisfaction of residents.

This position is MOBILE. Technician will travel to several properties.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC system checks, and appliance maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
Emergency Repairs
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including evenings and weekends.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues such as leaks, power outages, and heating/cooling problems.
Groundskeeping
  • Maintain the exterior appearance of the property, including landscaping,and ensuring common areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and address issues related to sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor amenities.
Resident Interaction
  • Communicate effectively with residents to understand and address maintenance requests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure resident satisfaction with maintenance services.
Documentation
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Report any major maintenance needs or safety concerns to the property manager.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with property management to prioritize maintenance tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.
Safety Compliance
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Implement and follow proper safety procedures during repairs and maintenance work.

This position offers $20-$25/ hour, based on experience and certifications
