Job summary

NCCO (formerly Dot It) is seeking a maintenance technician to keep manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and facility systems running safely and efficiently in a Fort Worth, TX facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, calibrate equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives with operators and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of equipment or machinery maintenance experience (printing industry preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Welding, fabrication, and/or machining experience.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently.
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, email, documentation).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, both scheduled and unscheduled.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems (PLCs and HMIs).
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment; calibrate and align machines; train operators.
• Record maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate status to maintenance and production teams.
• Follow safety policies and identify equipment safety hazards; implement corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime and improve performance; participate in training on new equipment.
• Maintain spare parts inventory; order parts and coordinate with vendors and purchasing.
• Assist with facility-related emergencies; collaborate with maintenance and production teams.

Job description

Summary:

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and continuous production. Follow through on initiatives to enhance reliability and production. Perform preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance
• Inspect equipment and improve PM schedules and tasks

Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems, including PLCs and HMIs

Equipment Installation & Support

• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment
• Perform machine calibration and alignment
• Train operators on basic maintenance procedures

Documentation & Communication

• Record maintenance activities in CMMS
• Communicate equipment status, failures, and improvement opportunities to maintenance and production teams

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety policies and identify equipment safety hazards
• Recommend and implement corrective actions

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime and improve performance
• Participate in training on new equipment and technologies

Parts & Inventory

• Maintain spare parts inventory
• Order parts and coordinate with vendors and purchasing
• Ensure proper storage and labeling

General Support

• Assist with facility-related emergencies
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams

Qualifications :

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or certifications preferred)
• 5+ years of equipment or machinery maintenance experience (printing industry preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Welding, fabrication, and/or machining experience
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, email, documentation)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and heavy-duty tools
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to read, understand and follow written work instructions in English, including safety instructions, operating procedures, policies, and other job-related documentation necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in hot, cold, noisy, or confined environments

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and on-call as required
