About CLK
CLK Multifamily Management manages apartment communities across multiple states. We're committed to creating great places to live and great places to work.
About the Role
Keep our community running and our residents happy. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll handle interior and exterior repairs, respond to resident service requests, and get units market-ready for new residents. You'll work as part of a safety-focused, customer-first team. It's a great opportunity to start or grow your career in property maintenance. Once you earn your EPA 608 certification, you can move up to Certified Maintenance Technician.
Don't have every skill listed below? That's okay. A willingness to learn and a basic knowledge of tools, appliances and building systems is a great place to start.
What You'll Do
- Complete resident work orders such as leaky faucets, door hinges, locks and appliance issues
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including toilets, sinks, tubs, showers and drains
- Install and repair basic electrical, including wiring, outlets and switches
- Make general repairs, including drywall, carpentry and painting
- Prepare vacant units for move-in (make-ready and unit turns), including appliance, flooring and cabinet repairs and replacements
- Perform preventive maintenance on the property's mechanical systems
- During unit inspections, replace HVAC filters and check smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and other safety items
- Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities, including trash and debris pickup, pressure washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs and signage
- Care for all community areas: apartment homes, pool, laundry room, dumpster areas, amenities, common areas, maintenance shop and leasing office
- Help with routine property inspections to spot safety concerns and keep the property in good repair
- Log and update work orders in the property management app as work is completed, and keep required community logs accurate and on time
- Help distribute notices and flyers to residents
- Take part in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- Attend monthly safety meetings
