Job summary

JLL is hiring a Mobile Maintenance Technician in Escanaba, MI. You will support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems in assigned facilities.

The role involves assisting Mobile Engineers and Technicians, with independent defined tasks and on-call duties. The day-to-day includes interior maintenance, HVAC/R cleaning, minor plumbing, lighting maintenance, and completing special tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license.
• 1+ year of general building repair, basic plumbing, and basic electrical experience.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft.
• Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist operations in maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Perform interior maintenance: HVAC/R coil cleaning, kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Complete tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services, and general maintenance.
• On-call after-hours emergencies.

What this job involves -

The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and kitchen equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists Mobile Engineers (HVAC/R) and Control Systems Technicians in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks.

What is your day to day?

• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment

• General interior maintenance - HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.).

• Minor plumbing repairs

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts

• Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.

• This position requires the employee to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

• Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

• Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.

• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.

• Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• UST Class B Certification

• Ability to comply wit h both Jone s Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.

• Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
