Job summary

Harrington in Elizabethtown and Manheim is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of production equipment at two facilities. This non-exempt hourly role reports to the Production Engineering Manager and supports maintenance of packaging lines and general facility systems.

You will execute PM schedules, troubleshoot equipment, document work in the PM Coordinator software, and collaborate with vendors to install and service equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and other systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience operating a variety of equipment such as snow blowers, powered tools, or floor scrubbers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment at both sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment at both sites.
• Manage PM Coordinator maintenance software to keep accurate maintenance records.
• Install new and existing equipment as needed.

General Job Responsibilities

• Perform all routine preventative maintenance to production & facility equipment at both facilities.
• Troubleshoot and perform required repairs to production & facility equipment at both facilities.
• Manage PM Coordinator maintenance software to maintain proper records of maintenance program.
• Installation of new and existing equipment
• Work with outside vendors and service providers to accomplish required tasks.

Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and other systems
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
• Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, powered tools, and floor scrubbers
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain positive vendor and client relationships

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional bending, squatting, and lifting.
