Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Edmond, OK area to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and test equipment at a water/wastewater facility. This hands-on role suits someone with mechanical maintenance experience who enjoys solving problems and working with industrial equipment.

The starting hourly pay is dependent upon experience, with opportunities to grow within a skilled Operations & Maintenance team and contribute to essential infrastructure operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of relevant maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Ability to follow equipment manuals, operating instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other facility equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance tests, including vibration analysis and other non-destructive testing.
• Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with maintenance and repair projects.
• Prepare piping and fabricated supports for installation and repair.
• Perform metal cutting and related work, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
• Prepare equipment and rigs for daily use.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other facility equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance tests, including vibration analysis and other non-destructive testing.
• Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with maintenance and repair projects.
• Prepare piping and fabricated supports for installation and repair.
• Perform metal cutting and related work, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
• Prepare equipment and rigs for daily use.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, workspaces, and shop areas.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Follow company safety procedures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in rotating/on-call coverage and work weekends, holidays, evenings, or other shifts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of relevant maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Class B CDL.
• Previous experience in water/wastewater treatment, utilities, industrial maintenance, or a similar environment.
• Certifications or training related to SCBA, confined-space entry, crane/forklift operation, rigging, welding, or metal cutting.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You must be able to:

• Frequently lift 50–60 pounds.
• Load, unload, and move equipment and tools.
• Walk and stand for extended periods.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Work in and access confined spaces.
• Perform physical maintenance duties in an industrial environment.
