Job summary

McGregor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance of the building, equipment, and its rental properties, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and repair work.

This role requires inspecting systems, performing preventive maintenance, reading blueprints, and coordinating with contractors. A valid driver’s license and 3 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related maintenance experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and building systems for safety and proper function.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and building electrical equipment.
• Maintain HVAC systems and related components.
• Perform repairs according to facility policy and schedules.
• Monitor building management systems and adjust as needed.
• Check emergency power systems per applicable codes and standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks.
• Document logs accurately and timely.
• Assist contractors with repairs and inspections.
• Ability to work flexible hours when required.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance of the building, equipment, and its rental properties, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and repair work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Inspect all building equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
• Maintain and repair electrical equipment and building electrical systems using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
• Maintain and repair building HVAC systems using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
• Perform maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Monitor automated building management system and modify as needed.
• Check emergency power equipment systems according to federal/state/local requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled checks as assigned.
• Enter information and maintain all required logs in a neat, organized and timely manner.
• Assist contractors with repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three (3) years job related experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems is required.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Basic computer skills.
