Job summary

Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Duluth, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep buildings, equipment and grounds in good order. The role requires problem solving, independent work, and the ability to operate power and manual tools.

You'll travel up to 80% within a 100-mile radius to sites, with day travel and occasional overnights. A company vehicle is provided. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor as part of daily duties.
• Operate light construction equipment and tools.

• Assemble/disassemble medical equipment as needed.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
• Conduct regular maintenance for homes.

Job Details: Job Location: Support Services - Duluth, MN, Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00Hourly, Diamond Willow is an Assisted Living and Memory Care facility that started in 2004. We have 11 locations throughout Minnesota, each site has 8-16 residents per home. We are committed to providing the utmost quality of care with the emphasis on person-centered care planning. Diamond Willow Assisted Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This position will ensure that our buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained and in good order. Qualified candidate must be able to problem solve, work independently, operate power and manual tools, operate light equipment, climb a ladder, lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s licenses.

You will be provided a company vehicle as this position will require 80% travel within a 100 mile radius from location to location. Day travel, very limited overnights. This will be a full time position. Day and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm. Early mornings, evenings and some weekends and some on call may be required as job duties demand.

This position is responsible for:

• Perform manual labor
• Operate a variety of light construction equipment and tools
• Basic plumbing including leaky sinks, backed up toilets, etc.
• Basic electrical such as changing light switches, light fixtures, electrical sockets, etc.
• Filters on air exchangers and AC
• Install and uninstall appliances
• Assemble and disassemble medical equipment as needed
• Painting interior and exterior
• Regular house maintenance both inside and outside of the homes
• Other duties assign from Maintenance Supervisor

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

• Frequently required to inspect projects and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions
• Specific vison abilities include close vision and color vision
