Location: My Place Hotel – Dickinson

My Place Hotel‑ Dickinsonis seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Maintenance team member. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of the hotel and its systems. This position supports hotel operations by completing maintenance requests, performing routine and preventative maintenance, and maintaining building systems and mechanical areas. The ideal candidate works proactively, responds quickly to issues, and completes tasks efficiently while upholding company standards for safety, cleanliness, and service.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner, responding quickly to issues to reduce disruption to guests and staff.
  • Perform and record scheduled preventative maintenance throughout the interior and exterior of the property by inspecting equipment and facilities and addressing potential concerns before they escal
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of completed repairs, preventative maintenance, and ongoing issues using basic computer applications.
  • Ensure all mechanical areas and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure, are kept clean, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Support the hotel's commitment to quality service by completing all maintenance work efficiently, professionally, and to established standards.
Qualifications and Skills

This role requires basic computer/tablet proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and other programs for record‑keeping. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and vendors. The Maintenance Associate must be dependable, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Attention to detail, practical troubleshooting ability, and experience with general repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and common maintenance tools are essential for success in this position.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach up to 60 inches in height.
  • Ability to move throughout the building, including walking up and down stairs.
  • Ability to push and pull equipment such as vacuums, shovels, cribs, and rollaway beds weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies and linens.
