Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school [or equivalent] plus at least two years of related technical training and three years on-the-job-related experience.
  • MUST HAVE SECOND CLASS C OR HIGHER BOILER LICENSE.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and inspect plant equipment and building systems.
  • Train new employees in equipment operation and safety.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose repair problems.
  • Perform repairs and coordinate with maintenance supervisor on projects.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance.

1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:15pm
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:15pm
3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am

Summary:Maintains

, inspects,repairs,and tests all equipment and machines in the plant as well as the building’s operational system.Trains new employees in proper equipment operation and provides ongoing information asrequired.Designs and fabricates new equipment and accessories in conjunction with the maintenance function. Serveas an occasional leader on maintenance projects.

Essential Functions:
  • Able to trainemployeesonproper equipment operation procedures andrespondto questions asrequired.
  • Maintains plant and building equipment through periodic inspections and cleaning
  • Repairequipment as necessary to include responding to emergency work orders.
  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings todeterminerepair problems.
  • Usescontinuous process improvements to improve preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Assistin fabricatingequipment asrequiredto include the associated welding,cutting,and drilling activities.
  • Maintainsaccuraterecords of equipment repairs.
  • Submitstimelyprogress reports on specific maintenance projects and updates theindividuals involvedand/or departments.
  • Replaces machine parts as part of repair projects.
  • Consults with Maintenance Supervisor and other personnel asrequiredalong with maintenance and/or repair projects.
  • Participates in other organized activities, committees, etc. within BTD.
Qualifications, Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

Graduation from high school [or equivalent] plus at least two years of related technical training and three yearsonthejob-relatedexperience.MUST HAVE SECOND CLASS C OR HIGHER BOILER LISCENSE.

Experience and Skills Required:

At least three years of recent related manufacturing maintenance experience which includes the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Strong working knowledge of the materials, methods and practices used in electronic and manufacturing maintenance operations including reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong working knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions.
  • Ability to organize and perform complex manufacturing maintenance activities.
  • Ability tooperategeneral office equipment including maintenance relatedapplicationson a microcomputer.
  • Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions.
  • Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to establish organized training procedure including training, encouragement, direction, and involvement.
  • Ability to build and encourage sound work ethics and independence among new maintenance staff.

Compensation Salary Range:

OTC7 $24.88 - 34.86 per hour. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
