Job summary
Deco Products Company LLLP in Decorah, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain die cast and facility equipment. You will work on production machines, conveyors, and facility systems across all shifts, with growth opportunities within the maintenance team.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, strong hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical skills, and an AA degree; PLC experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Two years of manufacturing experience in industrial maintenance.
- Skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance.
- PLC experience preferred.
- AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production machines and plant equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance.
- Diagnose problems and perform adjustments.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Follow written and verbal work instructions.

Position Objective
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Die Cast and other facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent attendance, focused and engaged.
- Follow written and verbal work instructions for the designated job.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Education and Training
- 2 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial maintenance role.
- Demonstrated skills, ability and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance.
- PLC experience preferred.
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
