Job summary

Jarrett Ford, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Quick Lube Service Technician to perform routine fluid checks, oil changes, and filter inspections. You will inspect belts, gauges, and air levels, and drive the vehicle for testing after service.

The role also involves diagnosing issues, using diagnostic equipment, and repairing components to keep vehicles safe and reliable. Ford certification or prior Ford dealership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ford certification is a plus.
• Experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.
• Ability to identify problems quickly.
• Strong knowledge of automobiles.
• Analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures and specifications.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Job description

This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lube Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.
