Job summary

Construction Resources is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install and repair factory equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and inspect electrical systems to keep production lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of maintenance experience, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Forklift license is a plus; strong computer skills for reporting are required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of maintenance mechanic or similar experience.
  • Trade or vocational school graduation preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Forklift license is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safety standards.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.

Job description

Summary

Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance tasks including installation, repair, and inspection of machines and electrical equipment, as well as carrying out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure that equipment remains operational. The role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Install and repair factory equipment; maintain machinery by completing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Identify root causes of equipment issues using electrical and/or pneumatic schematics, in-depth knowledge of machine/tool operation, and outside resources such as equipment manufacturer technical service.
  • Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts.
  • Maintain inventories of parts and supplies for the machines by maintaining stock and placing orders.
  • Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Trade or vocational school graduation preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools. Forklift driving license is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability.
  • Strong computer skills, ability to create reports in Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Physical dexterity, able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
