Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Maryland seeks a skilled maintenance technician to maintain and repair plant equipment, conveyors, and control systems. The role emphasizes strong electrical experience, PLC familiarity, reading blueprints, and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and safe production.

Candidates should have at least three years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or distribution, be able to work overtime, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong electrical background with familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs to conveyors and related equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, process sheets and schematics.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with team members; overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment, tools and machinery as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
• Repair and adjust machinery; assist in dismantling and component replacement as needed.
• Operate shop tools and machinery within skill level; assist in installing new plant equipment.
• Maintain production equipment uptime to ensure safe, timely manufacturing of coatings.
• Support safety programs and housekeeping; participate in other related tasks as directed.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
• Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit
• Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment
• Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to ensure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatings
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment
• Maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe
• Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed

Job Requirements

• Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong electrical background required, familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors
• Experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems
• Must have basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members
• Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
