Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include repairing and adjusting machinery, operating shop tools, installing new plant equipment, maintaining uptime, and reading blueprints. Overtime may be required to support production goals and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least three years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong electrical background; familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.
• Must have basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for machines.

• Support site housekeeping and safety programs.
• Participation towards completion of other related tasks as directed.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
• Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit
• Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment
• Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to ensure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatings
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment
• Maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe

• The hourly pay is $25-$35, based on experience
