Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our Costa Mesa team. You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems under the guidance of engineers. You’ll use hand and power tools, document work in CMMS, and support climate control efforts in a busy corporate HQ.

This on-site role requires U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work a 7:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule with occasional weekend/on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous maintenance experience in commercial/industrial settings preferred.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to learn CMMS and BAS.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites.

The position offers a strong foundation for a career in facility management.You'll join a 25+ engineering team at a 24/7 Costa Mesa corporate headquarters.**What your day-to-day will look like:*** Perform routine light maintenance activities including filter changes, lighting replacements, site inspections, furniture assembly, and office buildings to maintain facility functionality and appearance.* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using systematic troubleshooting methods and appropriate tools.* Execute general building maintenance tasks encompassing interior and exterior carpentry, drywall repair, light electrical work, light plumbing, and painting to preserve building integrity.* Assist with HVAC systems maintenance and repairs, supporting the engineering team in keeping climate control systems operational.* Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify maintenance needs proactively and ensure compliance with safety standards.* Complete assigned work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and maintain accurate service documentation for tracking and reporting purposes.* Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response, maintaining readiness to address critical building system malfunctions, facility emergencies, and urgent maintenance issues outside normal business hours.* Perform other duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications:*** U.S. Citizenship Required due to client requirements.* Previous experience performing maintenance in commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities.* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively, along with basic computer applications including MS Office, Slack, and email.* Experience with or willingness to learn preventative maintenance procedures and CMMS documentation practices.* Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as business needs require, including participation in on-call rotation for emergency facility response.* Strong communication skills, documentation, and customer service.* Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work comfortably on ladders up to 30 feet tall.* High school diploma or GED equivalent with strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.* Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites or to obtain supplies as needed. **Preferred Qualifications:*** Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building systems)* Proficiency with commercial door repairs including electrified locks, panic hardware, mortise systems, and automatic/manual sliding doors.* Trade school education or military service background with relevant technical training.* Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS).* Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainable building operations. **Location:** Long Beach, CA**Work Shift:** Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM**Salary/ Comp:** $33.65 to $38.45This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
