GMH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Conshohocken, PA. The role involves hands-on maintenance, unit turnover, and grounds upkeep, with on-call and some weekend requirements.

You will respond to work orders and support the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain high resident satisfaction. Requirements include at least 1 year of maintenance experience; multi-unit or hotel experience is a plus and HVAC/plumbing/electrical skills are desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year maintenance experience required.
• Maintenance in multi-unit complexes or hotels preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Mechanical background preferred.
• Good organizational and people skills.
• Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
• Must live within 30 minutes of property and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily operations of the property.
• Respond to Work Orders per policy.
• Grounds and exterior upkeep as needed.
• The Turn and Make Ready process.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections.
• Inspect units for Move In readiness.
• Ensure policy and state and federal safety and fair housing laws are adhered to.
• Hands on maintenance.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor to improve property through ideas.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in all of the properties maintenance needs, physical appearance, and work orders. The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibilities include hands on maintenance of the property including general upkeep and repair to units and the grounds, responding according to company policy to work order requests, turn and make ready process, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. Rotating on call & some weekend availability required.
