Job summary

Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Company in Columbus, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Machining Operations to perform preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on CNC machining equipment and supporting systems. Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical systems and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems.
• Troubleshoot and read industrial, electrical, and hydraulic print systems.
• May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Must have a thorough background in industrial electricity and knowledge of schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment.

Job Description

Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Company is seeking a technically skilled Maintenance Technician – Machining Operations to join our team in Columbus, GA. In this role, you will work independently and as part of a team, performing preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on CNC machining equipment, conventional machine tools, and supporting systems within our Machine Shop operations. This position requires critical thinking, initiative, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment problems efficiently to minimize downtime, maintain machining accuracy, and support production and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Installs, maintains, and repairs a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment. Includes hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and read Industrial, Electrical, and Hydraulic print systems.
• May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Must have a thorough background in industrial electricity and knowledge of schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in electronics or like discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques
• Capable of performing mechanical repairs or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity and knowledge of Stick Welding and establishment of components according to specifications
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must work with a sense of urgency.
