Job Summary

Under the direction of the Service Director and Real Estate Manager, the Service Technician I is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes, as well as responding to customer service requests.

Maintenance Services

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with the maintenance of storage areas and materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments according to company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality.
• Report safety concerns to the Business Manager and participate in safety meetings.
• Be knowledgeable about property-specific issues such as asbestos.
• Assist in snow removal as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed.

Customer Service

• Complete all service requests following company standards.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency requests, 24/7 as scheduled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC Type I & II certification preferred, to be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to walk grounds and apartments, climb stairs, lift up to 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and pushing.
• Sufficient knowledge to perform maintenance assessments up to the standards of a Service Technician I.
