Job summary

Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Company in Columbus, GA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to work independently or with a team, performing preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance across foundry operations. The candidate must have a well-rounded maintenance background and the ability to troubleshoot to maximize equipment uptime.

The role requires an associates degree in electronics or equivalent, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and experience reading

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation knowledge.
  • Mechanical repair skills for manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with welding, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power transmission systems.
  • Troubleshoots and reads Industrial, Electrical, and Hydraulic print systems.
  • May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial electricity, schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrically driven operating systems and equipment.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Company is seeking technically trained maintenance professionals to join our team in Columbus, GA. In this role you will work independently and as part of a team, performing preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance tasks in support of Foundry operations. The candidate must have a well-rounded maintenance background in an industrial environment, the ability to think critically, and exercise initiative to ensure maximum efficiency of both facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment. Includes hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power transmission systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and read Industrial, Electrical, and Hydraulic print systems.
  • May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Must have a thorough background in industrial electricity and knowledge of schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in electronics or like discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques
  • Capable of performing mechanical repairs or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of Stick Welding and establishment of components according to specifications
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Additionally, safety is our highest priority and safety procedures and guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes wearing PPE such as hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, flame retardant clothing, and steel toe work boots.

Pre-employment drug screening is required.
