Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Clinton, IL (an Arcosa subsidiary) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect and service production equipment and support utilities. You will use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to diagnose issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and mechanical systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, keep accurate records, adhere to safety rules, and may join safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use small/power tools and electronic test equipment.

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is currently looking to hire a Maintenance Technician for our Clinton, IL plant. As a maintenance technician, you’ll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks. You’ll determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Maintain and complete all required records
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Minimum of 6 months experience
• Knowledge of Diesel/LPG engines, mobile equipment hydraulics and electrical, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical experience
• Ability to maintain good attendance
