Job summary

IPS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Cleveland-based team. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment while coordinating with supervisors to ensure production targets are met.

The position requires at least three years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read drawings and work with electrical gear.

• Ensure proper equipment upkeep, maintenance, and troubleshooting to meet production and building needs.
• Coordinate with supervisors and management on repair of equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues from 24VDC to 480VAC.
• Maintain and repair building systems, lighting, safety protocols, and housekeeping.

Responsibilities may include:· Ensure proper equipment upkeep, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure production requirements while also maintaining building needs.· Coordinate with supervisors and management on repair of equipment.· Assist department supervisors in constructing, moving, and installing new equipment according to plan.· Troubleshoot electrical issues from 24VDC control to 480VAC.· Address safety issues, replace lighting, check emergency lighting on a routine basis, lock out tag out program, electrical safety, confined space program.· Maintain and upkeep grounds outside the building, including snow and ice removal as needed.· Perform facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.· Keep stock of routine repair parts and shop supplies.· Follow all safety directives and work in a safe manner.· Maintain good housekeeping standards.· Accurately document your work as required by company procedures.· Other duties as required.· Work overtime and provide 24/7 support as necessary.Qualifications and Competencies:· Three years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.· High school diploma or equivalent with course work in skilled crafts or trades training.· Must be a hands-on person capable of working in a fast-paced environment, while handling multiple projects at one time.· Must be able to use mechanical tools, electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, aerial lifts and be able to read drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.· May require lifting of up to 100 lbs.You’ll thrive at IPS if you…• Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
