Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an Electric Motor Mechanic to repair and rebuild industrial AC/DC motors, pumps, and gearboxes. You will diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble units for shipment while applying precision measurement with micrometers, dial indicators, and vibration meters.

Strong electrical/mechanical skills and safety focus are essential. You will work on rotating machinery, including motors, pumps, and fans, with emphasis on quality, productivity, and

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in an electric motor repair shop servicing large AC, DC, and synchronous motors
  • Strong math skills for measurements and data recording
  • Adept at diagnosing and repairing industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment
  • Able to understand, perform and retain job-related training, safety procedures and standards
  • Self-starter with a proactive, motivated approach to work

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose incoming units and disassemble/repair/assemble for shipment
  • Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating equipment (motors, pumps, fans)
  • Measure and record data using dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters
  • Use multimeters, megger tests, and winding resistance measurements during repairs
  • Support safety and continuous improvement initiatives in daily operations
