Job summary

Kaufman Container Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain production and support equipment, offices, and plant facilities in Cleveland, OH. You will assist in installing, repairing, and overhauling machinery, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform preventative maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays, with opportunities to assist in equipment design and modification to improve safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School or Vocational Diploma required.
• Able to set up and proficiently use common shop metal and wood working tools.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Computer literacy or willingness to be trained.
• PLC and electrical experience is a plus.
• Able to work overtime and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, repair and overhaul of production, support and shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

• Assist in changeovers of production equipment to meet customer schedules.
• Assist in design, construction and modification of equipment and tooling to improve safety, quality and productivity.

• Purchase replacement parts for machines and workshop with approval of the Operations Manager.

Job Description

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks involving production and associated support equipment, office and plant facilities.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the installation, repair and overhaul of production, support and shop equipment.
• Troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Assist in the changeover of production equipment in response to customer's schedules.
• Assist in the design, construction and modification of equipment and tooling to improve safety, quality and productivity.

Additional Responsibilities

• Special projects as assigned.
• Basic building maintenance.
• Purchase replacement parts for machines and workshop if necessary, with the approval of the Operations Manager.

Qualifications
