Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Maintenance Worker for our hotel property in New York. The role performs general maintenance, assists with preventive maintenance, and completes minor repairs using basic hand tools.

Hours are flexible, including weekends, nights and holidays, with a focus on keeping guest rooms and common areas in top condition while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Six months general maintenance experience using basic hand tools.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance including completion of the Preventive Maintenance checklist and minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs.
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs.
• Check and repair general plumbing fixtures such as pipes, toilets and sinks.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters.
• Paint furniture and fixtures as needed.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor or Chief Engineer on projects.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job requirements include Basic reading, writing and math skills and six months general maintenance experience using basic hand tools. Physical requirements include Climbing, standing and walking, carrying or lifting items that weighs approximately 100 lbs.Duties to include, but not limited to:Assists with preventive maintenance including completion of the Preventive Maintenance checklist and completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacement.Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.Assists Maintenance Supervisor, or Chief Engineer in any project as directed.Responds in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.This is a working position and hours must be flexible to meet the demands of the business. That includes weekends, nights, holidays etc.
