Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders.
• Conduct cylinder conversions and repairs.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers.
• Receive and diagnose incoming cylinders and valves.
• Inspect and scrap defective cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job description

What you will enjoy doing*

• This role will require you to perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders before filling to determine whether retesting or repairs are required
• You will conduct cylinder conversions, including de‑valving, valving, stripping, and repairing valves
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers
• Maintain required certifications to properly certify cylinders as re‑tested
• Operate a forklift to support material handling and movement of cylinders
• Receive incoming cylinders, valves, and cylinder maintenance supplies; diagnose and repair cylinder neck leaks and safety‑related leaks
• You will inspect and identify defective cylinders, scrapping cylinder when appropriate
• Responsible for performing painting, housekeeping, and light plant maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment
