Job summary

Kingman, AZ-based Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a hands-on technician for cylinder testing, conversions, and repairs. The role includes operating hydrostatic and ultrasonic testers, handling incoming cylinders and maintenance supplies, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

You will perform neck leak repairs and inspect defective units while maintaining a clean plant environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in the gas industry and cylinder

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in gas industry and cylinder maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift 40–70 pounds on occasion.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical tests on cylinders before filling to determine if retesting or repairs are necessary.
• Conduct cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping, and valve repairs.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers to ensure cylinder safety and compliance.
• Receive incoming new cylinders, valves, and maintenance supplies, maintaining accurate records.
• Repair cylinder neck leaks and safety leaks, inspect cylinders to identify and scrap defective units.
• Paint cylinders and maintain cleanliness and light maintenance of the plant environment.
• Operate forklifts safely to support cylinder handling and logistics.
• Use a respirator as required to ensure personal safety during operations.
